Position Overview

  • Works closely with the Manager, Treasury and Reporting and other team members to ensure accurate and timely payment processing in line with company policy.
  • Responsible for processing technical and non-technical payments, managing payment files and compliance records, and supporting audit and reporting activities.
  • Prepares bank reconciliations and maintains critical process documentation which serve as internal operational purposes and serves audit requirements..

Your Role:

Payments & Treasury Operations

  • Processes technical and non-technical payments.
  • Prepares cash flow forecasts for all operating bank accounts across the three entities, MLMC, MRCB and MRNV.
  • Tracks outstanding receipts, claims and delayed payments to ensure accuracy in the liquidity planning.
  • Collaborates with internal teams to optimize payment workflows and continuously works toward improving processing time with strong governance.
  • Performs bank reconciliations for all operating bank accounts for all entities on a timely basis. Investigates discrepancies and promptly works towards resolving the variances.
  • Organize and maintain technical bank statements and supporting documentation for audits and regulatory reviews.
  • Lead process documentation and improvement initiatives for treasury and investment functions, driving efficiency and standardization.
  • Ensures internal controls are upheld and are working effectively. Any operational risks are reported promptly to the Manager to assess the matter for resolution.
  • Liaises with banking partners (CIBC, RBC, Citibank, Amex) for payment execution and issue resolution.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls during fund transfers and payment runs.

Reporting and Analysis

  • Monitors cash balances daily and performs liquidity analysis and technical cash flow projections, providing insights to support strategic decision-making.
  • Supports quarterly and annual regulatory filings, ensuring timely and accurate submission.
  • Partners with cross-functional teams to provide analytical support for treasury projects.
  • Supports audit and reporting activities as required.
  • Prepares ad hoc reports as required.

System Administration

  • Support system administration and troubleshooting for Oracle and integrated payment platforms, ensuring seamless operations.
  • Utilizes Coupa and Concur platforms for invoice entry, expense approvals, and payment workflows.
  • Monitor and resolve system integration issues.

Your Profile:  

First and foremost, the successful candidate will demonstrate a natural desire to provide exceptional client service through his/her energy, enthusiasm and initiative.

In addition, we are looking for the following qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in accounts payable or payment processing.
  • Working knowledge of Coupa, Concur, Oracle, and SAP.
  • Experience with Office 365 applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.

Our base salary range for this role is between $80,000and $90,000 per year, plus an opportunity for an annual company bonus based upon a percentage of eligible pay. The salary estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for candidates hired in this position. Factors that may be used to determine your actual salary include your specific skills, how many years of experience you have and comparison to internal equity.

This role is located in our Toronto office on 390 Bay St, and we operate in a hybrid work model. This job posting is for an existing vacancy.
