Position Overview

The Microsoft Dynamics Technical Architect Sr. will serve as a senior technical expert responsible for architecting, developing, customizing, and integrating Microsoft Dynamics 365 solutions—primarily leveraging Microsoft Dynamics CRM, Power Platform, Dataverse, and related Dynamics technologies. This role partners closely with IT Senior Delivery Leads and business stakeholders to transform complex requirements into scalable, user-friendly solutions that align with enterprise standards, and drive digital efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

Solution Design & Development

  • Lead the design, architecture, and development of solutions using Microsoft Dynamics CRM and the wider Microsoft 365 ecosystem (Co-Pilot, Office)
  • Collaborate with IT deliver leads, business partners, SMEs, and stakeholders to analyze requirements and translate them into clear technical specifications for the Scrum Team
  • Deliver high-quality, scalable, and maintainable customizations, workflows, plugins, and integrations
  • Implement Back-end data changes needed to enable future AI Solutions mainly with Co-Pilot and new Dynamics Functionality
  • Research, develop and implement Short Term  (Tactical) and Long Term (Strategic) solutions to effectively achieve Business and Technology Roadmap
  • Proactively identify continuous process improvements in the various System processes and find ways to reduce them to make the processes work more efficiently
  • Facilitate the decision-making process and develop the functional design document that will drive the development process (if modifications/customizations are required, either to processes or to the Microsoft Dynamics CRM application) which includes the Architecture Runway and Technical Design Kanban Board
  • Analyze Customer Journey Mapping touch points with the organization and maximizing opportunities
  • Participate in every aspect of the implementation from analyzing business requirements to configuring the Microsoft Dynamics application to meet the customer's needs
  • Provide objective Benefit & Risk Documentation of Dynamics 365 platform for consideration in new platforms
  • Define and implement best practice, techniques, support, and security in the delivery of D365 platform in line with needs and wider MRe Standards
  • Utilize Dynamics Out of the Box to minimize changes and simplify upgrades in the future

Microsoft Dynamics 365 & Power Platform Integration

  • Own and execute complex enterprise-level integrations between Power Apps, Dynamics CRM, ERP, and various third‑party systems
  • Implement data flows using tools such as Power Automate, Azure Logic Apps, and REST APIs
  • Ensure integrations follow best practices in performance, security, and maintainability

Customization & Configuration

  • Customize, extend, and configure Dynamics Applications to meet specific business processes and operational needs
  • Develop and maintain model-driven apps, canvas apps, business rules, workflows, and custom components
  • Troubleshoot, optimize, and enhance existing CRM solutions across multiple business units

Client & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Build strong, trust-based relationships with internal clients and key business stakeholders
  • Understand business challenges and project objectives to deliver tailored, high-impact solutions
  • Serve as a technical advisor during requirement sessions, design workshops, sprint planning, and project reviews.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • 10+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365
  • Strong proficiency with Power Apps, Power Automate, Power Platform Dataverse, and M365 development tools
  • Proven experience with enterprise system integrations, APIs, Azure services, and automation workflows
  • Strong understanding of CRM customization, configuration, solution management, and governance
  • Excellent communication and client-facing skills
  • Scaled Agile and Microsoft certifications

Preferred:

  • Microsoft certifications in Power Platform, Dynamics 365, or Azure
  • Experience in Agile project environments (Azure Devops, Rally, or Jira) strongly recommended
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines for Power Platform (e.g., Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions)

The Company is open to considering candidates in Princeton, NJ. The salary range posted below applies to the Company’s Princeton location.

The base salary range anticipated for this position is $141,800 - $207,900 plus opportunity for company bonus based upon a percentage of eligible pay.  In addition, the company makes available a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, 401k match, retirement savings plan, paid holidays and paid time off (PTO). 

The salary estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for candidates hired in this position in Princeton. Factors that may be used to determine your actual salary include your specific skills, how many years of experience you have and comparison to other employees already in this role. Most candidates will start in the bottom half of the range.
