Great Lakes Australia (GLA) is the Australian branch of Great Lakes Insurance SE (GLISE) and is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Munich Reinsurance Company.

Great Lakes underwrites selective local primary niche business under the result responsibility of SFR. GLA has access to the experience and expertise of Munich Re (Group) to facilitate the research and development of niche programmes for our clients.

Your Role

  • Lead end-to-end business analysis activities across large-scale or complex business initiatives.
  • Translate business needs and analyse, validate, and document business requirements using appropriate techniques (e.g. workshops, interviews, process modelling).
  • Act as a trusted technical advisor to senior stakeholders, providing insight and recommendations.
  • Apply strong knowledge of General Insurance to the definition and development of internal management reporting and dashboards.
  • Engage and manage relationships with business leaders, IT teams and MGAs.
  • Facilitate decision-making within the business by clearly articulating impacts, risks, benefits, and trade-offs.
  • Mentor junior team members and strengthen technical depth across the team.
  • Work the Senior Data & Operations Consultant to define new processes and procedures where necessary.

Your Profile

  • 7+ years’ experience as a Business Analyst, with significant experience in General Insurance.
  • Proven experience delivering complex business and technology change
  • Strong analytical, communication, documentation, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems (or equivalent experience).
  • General Insurance qualifications.
