Senior Project Manager - North American Integrated Analytics Team

As a Senior Project Manager, you will lead complex, cross-functional projects that deliver transformative solutions for life insurance clients. You will manage client implementations, ensure alignment with business objectives, and foster collaboration across diverse teams including Risk Specialists, Data Scientists, and Engineers. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, business acumen, and leadership skills.

Job Responsibilities

  • Drive innovation by enabling new underwriting paradigms, distribution models, and data management
  • Support the design and development of consumer-facing risk assessment products for North American clients
  • Manage communications with various executives at carrier clients through critical project phases including procurement, delivery, and enhancements
  • Participate throughout the software development lifecycle—from initiation through testing and implementation—working closely with internal and client development teams
  • Manage all project phases leveraging project management tools, Agile methodologies, international standards (PMI and PMBOK), and best practices.
  • Deliver and own project outcomes aligned with established cost, timing, deliverables, and scope
  • Specify and meet project delivery expectations through stakeholder management and meet/exceed the project sponsor's specified expectations to ensure buy-in and project success
  • Proactively identify and track project risk and develop mitigation plans to manage risk (i.e., risk related to technology, change management, business process management, and requirements management)
  • Ensure production of necessary project documentation
  • Continuously monitor project health and develop innovative approaches to resolve problems and significant issues; involve management where necessary
  • Assist with tracking and reporting revenue and expenses
  • Maintain communication with Compliance managers, document associated needs, and escalate issues
  • Build and maintain professional relationships with various business units and global contacts, internally and externally

Qualifications

The successful candidate demonstrates a natural desire to provide exceptional client service through his/her energy, enthusiasm, and initiative. In addition, we are looking for the following qualifications:

  • 7+ years of project management experience leading and managing a variety of projects
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Computer Science/IT, or equivalent
  • Experience in Life Insurance (Direct Carrier or Reinsurance) is highly desirable
  • Commercial awareness of insurance, underwriting, and rule/decision engines
  • Strong facilitation skills and the ability to communicate (verbal & written) at all levels with various internal and external stakeholders with professionalism, clarity, and precision
  • Extensive IT experience, preferably in application development, with in-depth knowledge of the full Software Development Lifecycle
  • Experience managing projects that require integration between parties and systems
  • Prior experience in Agile project management methodologies like SCRUM as well as sound knowledge of project management techniques and methodologies like PMI, PMBOK, etc.
  • Proven ability to quickly earn the trust of clients and key internal stakeholders; taking accountability; mobilize, motivate, and lead teams; set direction and approach; resolve conflict; deliver tough messages with grace; and execute with limited information and ambiguity
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining quality and meeting expectations
  • Ability to align closely with business goals and priorities
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Skilled at customer relationship management
  • Superior written and oral communication skills, including presentations to clients and internal management
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Project
  • Experience with Azure DevOps
  • Experience with software engineering best practices
  • Agility to work across multiple internal teams and multiple assignments in a dynamic environment
  • Ability to learn quickly, adapt to changing conditions, and take initiative
  • A drive to make a meaningful impact and deliver results with ownership

For New York City based employees, the base salary range anticipated for this position is $153,583 to $177,833, plus an opportunity for an annual company bonus based upon a percentage of eligible pay.
