As a member of Munich Re's US operations, we offer the financial strength and stability that comes with being part of the world's preeminent insurance and reinsurance brand. Our risk experts work together to assemble the right mix of products and services to help our clients stay competitive – from traditional reinsurance coverages, to niche and specialty reinsurance and insurance products.

The Opportunity

Future focused and always one step ahead!

Data driven decision making and value generation through AI are key priorities for Global Specialty Insurance. To speed-up execution we are hiring resources dedicated for Data Products and GenAI use cases at the GSI-level.

In order to grow the team, we are looking for someone with an entrepreneurial mindset to propel Munich Re's GenAI and data strategy forward.

Responsibilities

  • Chart the course for GSI’s GenAI and data strategy by identifying key focus areas, pinpointing use cases, and outlining implementation roadmaps.
  • Own data products and GenAI use cases at the GSI level, supporting Underwriting and Claims excellence
  • Foster cross-functional teamwork, bridging the gap between different GSI Business Units and the global data and AI teams in Munich
  • Cultivate synergies and cost-sharing opportunities between business units by connecting similar GenAI use cases, leveraging shared learnings and accelerating innovation.
  • Actively promote and expand the adoption of existing GenAI capabilities, data products and data platforms among relevant stakeholders, ensuring their value is widely recognized and utilized.

Qualifications

Successful candidates will possess the following skills/capabilities:

  • Proven project management capabilities in an agile setup for 3+ years
  • Strong proficiency in application of GenAI models of different vendors
  • Solid understanding of the reinsurance and insurance business models - detailed knowledge about Specialty business is a plus
  • Excellent skills in technical data handling and API usage
  • Entrepreneurial and customer-centric mindset and ability to develop strategic targets and conceptually transform requirements into solutions
  • Integrative personality, strong in building and maintaining relationships (internally and externally)
  • Drive and dedication, as well as creativity and hands-on attitude to initiate and execute use cases (“getting things done”)
  • Excellent ability to communicate to both technical and non-technical communities to ensure data uses and limitations are well understood and will provide substantive business value
