About Us

Passion is at the heart of everything we do – whether it’s our dedication to family, friends, the arts, sports, or, most importantly, our profession. At Munich Re Risk Management Partners (RMP), the climate change and risk management solutions unit of the world’s leading reinsurer, our passion drives us to redefine climate risk solutions on a global scale.

Our modular climate risk offering is built to meet the complex needs of insurers, banks, asset managers, corporates, and real estate investors. Through our SaaS platform, Location Risk Intelligence, we deliver an advanced geospatial solution and location-based risk insights that empower clients to make informed decisions in underwriting, exposure management, accumulation control, and climate risk reporting.

As climate and natural catastrophe risks increase in frequency and severity, insurers require high-quality data, modern analytics, and reliable digital solutions to stay competitive. To support this mission, we are looking for a Junior Product Manager – Insurance to help strengthen our insurance-focused product development and shape the future of our risk and climate data solutions.

This role is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience within the dynamic, international team of Munich Re Service GmbH. If you’re passionate about insurance, risk analytics, and digital product development, and eager to grow within an innovative, international team, we’d love to hear from you!

  • Collaborate with modelling, analytics, UI/UX and engineering teams to develop and implement new features and datasets for the Location Risk Intelligence platform.
  • Validate prototypes and new capabilities through user testing, client feedback, and internal quality checks.
  • Adapt and prepare geospatial and risk data for key insurance use cases such as underwriting, exposure analysis, and accumulation control.
  • Support the integration of new datasets, APIs, and geospatial analytics into the SaaS platform.
  • Contribute to go to market preparation by creating documentation, training materials, and product-related content for Sales and Marketing.
  • Track product performance, user behaviour, and feedback to recommend enhancements that improve value, usability, and product market fit.
  • Help drive continuous improvement to support financial and adoption targets across the insurance client segment.

Your Profile

  • 2+ years of professional experience in insurance, product management, underwriting support, natcat analytics, climate/physical risk, or related fields.

  • Familiarity with geospatial data, GIS tools, or spatial analytics (QGIS, geodata APIs, etc.) is a strong plus.
