The India CFO team is responsible for providing technical accounting support to the life and non-life business. We are seeking a qualified and dedicated professional to strengthen our team in this interesting environment. The role entails a broad range of responsibilities and offers many development opportunities and will be reporting to the Team Lead of Technical Accounting L&H.

Your Role: 

  • Ensure accurate and timely administration and accounting/processing of Life & Health business
  • Assure payment transactions with our clients, handle correspondences and debt collection
  • Monitoring of key performance indicators such as overdue balances, outstanding statement of accounts etc
  • Effective collaboration and coordination with Life & Health business unit/section
  • Provide timely responses/replies and quality financial reports to meet Life & Health business units need as required.
  • Support in the quarterly closing process and reporting to Head Office
  • Maintain adequate documentation of internal processes and ensure compliance with internal guidelines
  • Maintain knowledge of developments in the insurance/takaful industry, including keeping up to date with latest regulations and legislation changes to ensure compliance
  • Lead and support projects and other ad-hoc tasks as assigned

Your Profile: 

  • Education : Degree in accounting/finance/ or Degree in Engineering/IT/Computer Science.
  • Experience : Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience within the insurance & reinsurance industry (accounting / operations). Suitable candidates with less experience will be considered as assistant Technical Accountant
  • Essential : Good Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Good to Have:  SAP knowledge would be an advantage, VBA, Power Query or prior automation experience are highly regarded
  • Able to lead projects and perform financial analysis on various accounting topic initiatives
  • Effective oral and written communication skills with staff, peers, superiors and internal / external stakeholders
  • Auditing experience in audit firm preferred.
