Responsbile for the Business Project Management function on IT projects.  Accountable for preparing business components of the charter/business case in conjunction with IT. Ensures communication planning and delivery with business leaders and stakeholders. Determines resources needs to maintain Business project staffing levels. Develops, updates, & drives business tasks in the overall project plan. Manages, escalates, and mitigates business risks & issues, and clears business roadblocks. Oversees UAT coordination and execution. Accountable for operational rollout planning, training and execution. Accountable for change management plans & execution. Accountable for the definition, execution tracking and post-project realization tracking of business benefits. Partners with IT to ensure adherence to the PMO practices.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Management, Business or related field
  • 3+ years in a leadership / management role
  • 8+ years’ experience as a business or IT project manager &/or business analyst
  • PMP or PMI certification desired
  • Experience in leading change and managing transitions is highly desirable
  • Experience working in matrixed resource model and managing expectations of stakeholders across divisions

  • Excellent organizational, multi-tasking, and time management skills
  • Ability to communicate and work collaboratively with all levels of employees, management, and external agencies to maximize performance, creativity, problem solving, and results
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic teamwork environment with minimal supervision while maintaining a high level of quality
  • Excellent oral and written communication, including proven meeting facilitation and presentation skills
  • Ability to collaborate with internal and external IT implementation partners/vendors
  • Proficient in project management methodologies and tools (both Waterfall and Agile), resource management practices and change management techniques
  • Ability to manage all phases of the project life cycle
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, juggle multiple priorities, and be adaptive to change
  • Ability to work as an effective cross-functional team member
  • Strong process orientation, problem solving & troubleshooting skills, and a firm commitment to quality
  • Works closely with Engineering Operations/Shared Services and IT Leadership to ensure consistent messaging to business partners as it relates to decisions for in-flight projects
  • Collaborates with others to solve complex problems; uses sophisticated analytical thought and education and/or equivalent experience to exercise judgment and identify innovative solutions
