The Assistant Vice President, Financial Systems is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing financial systems operations and leading large‑scale finance transformation initiatives. This position partners closely with Finance, IT, and Data teams to modernize systems, improve processes, and support statutory and IFRS financial reporting.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead day‑to‑day financial systems supporting accounting, regulatory, and compliance reporting
  • Drive finance systems transformation and automation initiatives
  • Manage cross‑functional teams supporting system operations and process improvement
  • Partner with senior Finance and IT leaders to deliver complex, enterprise‑wide projects
  • Oversee change management, governance, and internal controls for new systems and processes
  • Advance data, analytics, and automation capabilities within Finance
  • Represent Finance in global and enterprise financial initiatives

What You Bring

  • Ten to fifteen years of progressive experience in Finance and Accounting, preferably in insurance
  • Strong experience managing financial systems and large transformation programs
  • Proven leadership of cross‑functional teams and complex initiatives
  • Deep understanding of accounting processes, financial reporting, and financial systems
  • Strong communication, analytical, and stakeholder management skills

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or Management Information Systems required
  • Master’s degree and CPA certification preferred
