Munich Re is one of the top providers of reinsurance, primary insurance, and insurance-related risk solutions in the world. This is an exciting and challenging opportunity to join the Global Epidemic Risk Solutions team (ERS). The ERS unit develops new risk transfer solutions for epidemic and pandemic risks for the private and public sector. 

By better understanding and evaluating epidemic risk exposure we work on establishing a new insurance market segment. Munich Re's ERS team consists of experts from various fields (e.g. pricing, underwriting and epidemiology) and provides a one-stop shop for companies aiming at protecting themselves against the adverse effects of an epidemic outbreak or pandemic. 

We are looking for students that are available for internships between January to May 2026. 

Your Role:

  • Support the Global Epidemic Risk Solutions team's (ERS) underwriting activities.
  • Collect and analyze loss information from various markets and business sectors.
  • Create pitch presentations for external and internal stakeholders.
  • Support project management and coordinate across teams, cooperation partners and clients.
  • Perform analyses of markets and key performance indicators of businesses.
  • Provide economic expertise for developing insurance solutions for private and public sector transactions.

Your Profile:

  • Bachelor's degree in Risk Analytics, Business, Economics or Communications is preferred.
  • Exhibits proactiveness, good attention to details and a keen attitude to learn.
  • Creative, ability to see ideas and concepts from different perspectives.
  • Collaborates effectively within a team environment while managing multiple tasks concurrently. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills at a professional business level.
