How can we use our financial data to drive success of Life and Health under Ambition 2030? This is the key question driving the Strategic Finance and Regional Steering team within our Life & Health division. Our goal is to be true strategic partners to the Life & Health business units, providing insights and analytics that empower the regional management team to make informed decisions and drive strategic initiatives within our region. The team is responsible for coordinating the regional aspects of financial steering and translating management reporting into actionable insights.

We are recruiting for a role to lead the regional finance project management hub and provide portfolio insights to support our Life & Health division decision-making. The role will coordinate finance-led initiatives across systems and processes, support business case development and benefit tracking, and strengthen the enabling infrastructure used in management reporting and strategic discussions. Alongside this, the role will provide targeted performance insights on the Life & Health in-force portfolio by linking results to key drivers and translating these into clear messages, and agreed actions.

The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated actuary with excellent communication skills, who thrives in a collaborative environment and is driven by curiosity and adaptability. The successful candidate will demonstrate creativity in problem-solving and a passion for leveraging financial insights to drive strategic growth and innovation within our region.

Your Job

  • Support business case development for business and IT initiatives, including transparent tracking of spend and benefit realisation against business case assumptions

  • Shape investment and prioritisation discussions by translating financial trade-offs, options and constraints into clear recommendations

Business partnering & strategic influence

  • Act as an extension of the regional finance leadership by providing decision support and scenario analysis, constructively challenging plans and forecasts
  • Build and maintain strong relationships across local finance teams (valuation, accounting, finance business partners) and business teams (pricing, client management) to ensure early alignment and clear communication of financial insights
  • Support coordination of consistent Life & Health finance deliverables across reporting metrics and cycles (IFRS 17/9, Solvency II/VBM, management reporting from early indication to final results), aligning inputs, timelines and communications
  • Develop and improve enabling infrastructure (dashboards, management reports, steering packs) to support management reporting and strategic discussions
  • Act as a role model and mentor, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous improvement within the division and cross-functional teams

Your Profile
