We are currently looking for a Head of Alternatives Development (m|w|d) at our location in Munich, starting at the earliest possible date. The team supports cross-departmental investment units for Illiquid Assets and Real Estate with a focus on the strategic development of the business area.



Your Tasks:


  • Professional and disciplinary leadership of the Alternatives Development department, including the teams “Alternatives Strategy & Advisory”,“Business Management Alternatives” and “Alternatives ESG Integration”
  • Strategic development of the Alternative Assets business area in close collaboration with the board of management and senior management
  • Active management of the interface with our internal (GIM) and external customers
  • Identification and evaluation of new business areas/asset classes, market segments, innovative solutions, and growth initiatives for the Alternative Assets area
  • Development and implementation of strategic and operational projects for the continuous improvement and standardization of processes and methods in the Alternative Assets area

Your Profile:


  • Excellent university degree in business administration, economics, or a related field
  • Several years of experience in strategy consulting and/or the investment sector, preferably with extensive knowledge in the field of Alternative Assets
  • Strong conceptual and analytical skills, structured approach to work, pronounced problem-solving competence, and a hands-on mentality – from planning to implementation
  • Excellent communication skills, teamwork abilities at all levels, moderation and coaching skills, as well as the ability to convey complex content in an understandable way
  • Quick understanding of workflows and system relationships, experience in process analysis and design, as well as flexibility in dealing with new or unexpected situations
  • Fluent German and English skills, both written and spoken, as well as very good knowledge of Microsoft Office
