Application Specialist

About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and driven Applications Excellence Specialist to support the Custom and Portfolio Risk Solutions (CRS & PRS) divisions. This role is pivotal in designing, implementing, and maintaining key business applications and systems. You will serve as the lead Business Analyst and primary liaison between business units and technology teams, ensuring seamless delivery of application functionality and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:• System Implementation & Maintenance:
Lead and support the full lifecycle of systems projects—from requirements gathering and documentation to testing and deployment. Ensure systems deliver business value, enhance user experience, and provide efficient access to data and reporting.
• Training & Documentation:
Develop and deliver training materials and sessions for business-managed systems. Collaborate with power users to enhance system functionality and maintain up-to-date documentation.
• Prioritization & Communication:
Manage communication around system status, releases, and updates. Maintain a roadmap of active and proposed changes and ensure stakeholders are informed and supported.
• Technical Support & Troubleshooting:
Provide expert-level support for system issues. Investigate problems, coordinate resources, and implement effective solutions.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Engineering, Statistics, or a related field.
• Proven experience in business analysis and systems implementation, preferably within the insurance industry.• Demonstrated success leading systems and operations excellence initiatives and cross-functional projects.
• Business Analysis training or certification is preferred.
• Experience in mentoring and indirect leadership.

• Advanced knowledge of business analysis techniques and IT development methodologies.• Skilled in change management and data analysis.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and facilitation abilities.

The Company is open to considering candidates in numerous locations, including California. The salary ranged posted below applies to the Company’s Hartford, CT location.
• The salary range for this position is $ 99,700 - $146,200, plus opportunity for company bonus. In addition, the company provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and paid time off (PTO).
• The salary estimate displayed represents the typical salary range of candidates hired. Factors that may be used to determine your actual salary may include your specific skills, how many years of experience you have and comparison to other employees already in this role. Most candidates will start in the bottom half of the range.
