Reporting to the Head of Life Hedging Operations, the successful candidate will become part of a motivated and open-minded team that takes pride in a collaborative and flexible work mode which is based on trust and support.

Your responsibilities

  • Manage daily liquidity (cash monitoring and bank account reconciliation) and support the liquidity planning process, together with the Senior Operations Manager
  • Pre-advise Front Office about maturing positions (e.g. futures, options, equity swaps)
  • Monitor hedging platform for daily derivatives trading and hedge administrator activities (i.e. trade confirmations) and cover underlying documentation
  • Review incoming reporting of reconciliation, settlement, and valuation of market index alignments & initiate respective escalation process
  • Support administrative closing process for portfolio bookings & collateral management
  • Support additional reporting and audit activities (e.g. to NewRe/Munich Re Group divisions)
  • Review and update existing back-office process documentation

Your profile

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field or equivalent education
  • Minimum of 3-5 years’ relevant Middle/Back-office experience
  • Advanced skills in MS Excel
  • Familiar with derivatives life cycle.
  • Strong technical, analytical and organisational skills
  • Good social and communication skills
  • Strong client responsiveness and open to new approaches
  • Valuing and promoting an inclusive working and learning environment
  • Ability to work independently, reliably and consistently
  • Fluent in English, additional German highly preferred
