Loss Prevention Representative - Seasonal Staff
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Loss Prevention Representative to join our Risk Management team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with jurisdictional regulations related to equipment breakdown, conducting risk assessments, and implementing loss prevention strategies to minimize equipment-related losses. Contribute to the execution of comprehensive risk assessment analyses, identifying opportunities for loss prevention that benefit HSB customers. Conduct thorough equipment breakdown and business interruption risk assessments, aligning with HSB's underwriting strategies. Develop and refine a broad-based occupancy expertise through diligent research, training, and collaboration with Senior Loss Control Consultants. Leverage technical knowledge to author detailed, high-quality reports that provide actionable insights. Maintain accurate survey information within the database, overseeing the front-end process, including call preparation and data collection. In addition, cross-functional training will be provided to ensure adaptability and support during peak periods. Proficiency in virtual loss control tools will be utilized to perform inspections, generating detailed reports that outline findings and recommendations.
Qualifications
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as Engineering, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in loss prevention, risk management, or a related field, preferably in a similar industry.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong knowledge of Production Equipment, Maintenance, Facilities, Engineering, or Jurisdictional Object Inspections
- Technical aptitude and understanding of facility production, processes, workflows, and manufacturing
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and develop effective solutions
Knowledge and Skills:
- Familiarity with contemporary manufacturing processes and best practices
- Strong financial acumen, with a keen understanding of loss prevention and cost-benefit analysis
- Proven ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with clients, facilitating the collection of essential data
- Proactive approach to identifying and engaging with necessary stakeholders to drive projects forward
- Comprehensive knowledge of insurance principles and general business practices
- Experience with HSB information systems is highly desirable
- Proficiency Microsoft asoftware applications including Word, Excel & Powerpoint
- Highly developed typing skills, ensuring efficient and accurate data entry
- Excellent verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and concisely
