Internship Program:

Accounting - Reinsurance

The Accounting Intern will support the Reinsurance Accounting team with monthly, quarterly close tasks, and special projects as needed. The intern will also have an opportunity to work with our Accounting Financial Systems team to support Reinsurance Accounting tasks. Candidates must have intermediate Excel skills.

Financial Compliance

The Financial Compliance intern will be involved with testing of financial reporting controls within Finance and other business units. The intern will get hands on experience documenting controls, performing walkthroughs with business unit leaders, and doing substantive testing of control performance. The intern will also work with our automation manager on our ongoing project to write and deploy Python scripts that are used to pull data from various applications.  Candidates must have familiarity with Python.

Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Ability to work 40 hours per week for 12 weeks.
• Confidence in use of MS Office 365 tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Notes, Teams).
• Candidates must be local (Amelia, OH) and have reliable transportation due to the hybrid work schedule.  Interns  and will work in the office at least 2 days a week.
• Applicants requiring employer sponsorship of a visa will not be considered for this position.
