Discover your future career path as a commercial or corporate lawyer. As a legal trainee at Munich Re, you can complete your traineeship in either our Group Legal and Compliance department or within areas such as Claims, (Corporate) Underwriting, Mergers & Acquisitions, Tax, or Human Resources. Each option offers hands-on experience giving you valuable insights into how legal expertise supports our business.

Duration: 3 months 
Start date: 1st or 15th of each month 
Recruitment timeline: Recruitment takes place year-round driven by the hiring business need. We encourage you to set up a job alert to keep informed on when new roles become available
Hiring units: Various businesses, such as Group Compliance & Legal, Claims, Underwriting, Tax, Mergers & Acquisitions, and Human Resources

What we are looking for:

  • Successful completion of the First Legal State Examination in Germany 
  • Ideally, some initial professional experience in a law firm, association, or company 
  • Strong research skills and the ability to work effectively in an interdisciplinary environment 
  • An independent, results-oriented working style combined with strong interpersonal and communication skills 
  • Excellent written and spoken German and English
