Business Analyst for F&C Single Risk Target System Landscape (m/f/d)*
Munich Re’s Facultative and Corporate business unit (MR F&C) manages our global facultative reinsurance and direct insurance portfolio across Property, Engineering, Energy, Casualty, Cyber, and New Risk Solutions. Since 2019, MR F&C has grown significantly and invested in innovative initiatives. A robust, end-to-end operating platform with an integrated systems and data landscape, standardized global processes, and a foundation for AI capabilities is central to our strategy. We are seeking a highly motivated Business Analyst to help deliver these ambitions, with a focus on end-to-end support for our global Casualty underwriting teams.
Your Job
- Serve as a business analyst across the full project lifecycle, translating business needs into clear, testable IT requirements and user stories with acceptance criteria.
- Lead and structure requirements engineering activities, including stakeholder interviews, process mapping, data and interface requirements, and non-functional requirements.
- Act as a liaison between business stakeholders, product owners, and engineering teams; prioritize the backlog, manage scope, and ensure traceability from requirements through testing to release.
- Design and configure prototypes and proof-of-concepts on Microsoft Power Platform, including model-driven and canvas apps, Power Automate flows, Dataverse data models and Copilot Studio AI agents.
- Support the target solution architecture by challenging specifications and ensuring fit to the target process and system landscape.
- Prepare, execute, and document User Acceptance Testing, including test design, defect management, and sign-off, ensuring high-quality delivery at each release.
- Drive standardization of processes and system requirements across lines of business and regions.
- Support change management by preparing stakeholder communications, training content, and enablement sessions for business users and super users.
Your Profile
- University degree or with certificate of secondary education and completed professional formation with focus on Computer science.
- Several years of experience in IT projects with a strong focus on requirements engineering or business analysis; good understanding of the full software development and product lifecycle.
- Proven ability to elicit, analyse, and document business demands and translate them into system designs and user stories that developers can implement.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Power Platform, specifically Power Apps, Power Automate, and Dataverse; ability to build functional prototypes and configure solutions.
- Understanding differences between Power Apps, Logic Apps and Azure Functions and you are comfortable in choosing the right design consideration.
- Basic understanding in documents core pack is beneficial.
- Initial experience with Copilot Studio (formerly Power Virtual Agents), including designing intents, entities, topics, and integrating copilots with Power Platform and Microsoft Teams.
- Initial experience with GitHub for version control and collaboration and familiarity with GitHub Actions or Power Platform Build Tools is a plus.
- Basic knowledge of one or more programming or scripting languages is a plus
- Familiarity with UI and UX principles, data modelling, and process modelling; experience with BPMN or similar notations is beneficial.
- Basic knowledge of designing API-based integrations; experience with custom connectors or Azure integration services is an advantage.
- Experience in (re)insurance, particularly underwriting products, processes, and markets, is a plus.
- Strong analytical and conceptual skills, with the ability to simplify complexity, make sound decisions, and communicate clearly across cultures and seniority levels.
- Proficiency in agile methods and tools; experience with backlog and test management tools.
- Fluent business English and German are mandatory; additional languages are an asset.
- Willingness to travel internationally as required.
