Pricing and Treaty Intern

Munich Re Retakaful is Munich Re Group’s worldwide Retakaful operations business, focusing on providing Islamic Retakaful solutions to our clients in Malaysia, Southeast Asia and the Middle East.

We are looking for an intern to support the Pricing team, where you will work closely with other associates within Munich Re Retakaful and have the opportunity to work with other business units in the Asia region.

Your Role

• Draft treaties, review and provide support towards the finalisation of treaties.
• Work with other functions such as Client Manager, Valuation team and Technical Accountant to review Retakaful bordereaux and perform analysis on treaty performance.
• Support group pricing referrals, ensuring quotations are issued with accuracy.
• Work with Pricing Team and Client Manager on developing and enhance existing tools to streamline day-to-day processes.
• Prepare clear documentation for tools developed and enhancements implemented to ensure transparency and ease of future maintenance.

Your Profile

• Pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Actuarial Science, Finance, Statistics, Mathematics) or a related field. 
• Good Excel skills and other programming skills (e.g. VBA, SQL, etc.) are desired. 
• Good written and verbal communications skills.
