Digital and automated risk assessment tools are core elements of Munich Re's service offering in the life insurance sector. We use agile working methods to develop modern applications for the early detection and optimized risk assessment of illnesses for life and disability insurance.

We are currently working on launching our next-generation underwriting manual. It gives users access to the knowledge of Munich Re experts in the fields of medicine, work, leisure and travel. With a wide range of personalized settings, our system supports a numerous users, ranging from highly experienced underwriters to beginners.

The development of our system is already well advanced. We will be rolling out the system our customers worldwide towards the end of 2025. To ensure a smooth rollout process, we are looking for hands-on support in onboarding our clients.

You will be embedded in an agile product team and work closely with business support and IT teams. You involvement will actively contribute to the success of the global roll-out.

Tasks

  • Liaise with the Business Support team to collect settings for tenants
  • For each tenant, configure Tenants specific settings and amend the global configuration of our system 
  • Liaise with the Application DevOps team to update configuration status
  • Point of contact between Business Support team and Application DevOps team to ensure information flow is correct 
  • Participate in agile ceremonies and keep track of meetings 
  • Participate and Support in automating processes to create and maintain tenant settings 

Knowledge

  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite especially Excel and working with CSV files. 
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Sharepoint and Microsoft Forms
  • Good working knowledge of JSON files
  • Strong communication skills to be able to convey information among teams
  • Strong command of German and English 
  • Knowledge of GIT/Azure DevOps is a plus

Students from countries outside the EU require a German residence-/work permit. The first master’s degree may not have been completed before/during the entire internship
